Muhmmad Ibrahim Kalbasi

Muhammad Ibrahim Kalbasi (Karbasi), one of the great Shi'a scholars in Isfahan –Iran. He was a perfect jurisconsult. Karbasi was so cautious, although he had a high position in jurisprudence but never wrote a book on Islamic commandments. He was trained under great scolars for many years in Iraq: "Seyyed Bahrul Olum", "sheikh Jafar Kabir", "Seyyed Saheb Riaz" and "Muhaqeq A'raji". He was contemporary with "Seyyed Baqer Shafti" (great jurisconsult) although they were in the same scientific level, Kalbasi had a high respect for him #### and kissed his handwriting! Karbasi was so careful about doing religious and Islamic commandments. He also helped poor people. The most important works:
1- The hints [on methodology (Osul)]
2- Way of guidance (on jurisprudence)
3- Roads of guidance
4- Nokhbe (best choice, in Persian)
5- Some treatises on worship
6- A scientific treatise

Karbasi died in 1845 in Isfahan.
