Reasoning in science of discourse

This book is one of the works of the  celebrated scholar “Fakhr Razi”  written in Arabic and is compiled in 2 volumes , including  40 problems on science of discourse  30 subjects are noticed in the 1st volume and 10 subjects in the 2nd  volume.

The author

Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Umar Ibn Hossein Tabaristani Razi, also known as "Imam Fakhr", Ibn al –Khatib" ,"Fakhr Razi" and also "Imam al- Mushakkekin" (because he doubted about most of the philosophical subjects), a famous Iranian Sunni theologian and philosopher. He was born in 1149 in Ray –Iran and died in 1209.

He studied jurisprudence and Kalam and other Islamic sciences under his father and then studied under Majduddin Jili.
He wrote on medicine, astrology, physics, literature, history and law.
Fakhr Razi was from "Shafi'i" of Islamic law.

Razi's most major work is "The keys to the unknown" (his exegesis on the Quran) and his most important philosophical work is "Eastern discussions".

The 40 subjects of the book are as follows:

1- Creation of the universe (including some chapters and reasoning’s
 as well as the misgivings of philosophers about the precedence of the universe which are rejected by the author)

2- On proving the creator (including 4 reasoning’s)

3- Divine Essence is different from that of creatures

4- On God does not deserve to present in place and time

5- On God is the Alert, the observant

6- On God is the Able

7- On monotheism

8- On Resurrection

9- On reality of the soul

10- On proving the essence ( Johar)

11- On intercession of the prophet

12- On intercession of the prophet

13- The miracles of the prophet is divided into intuitive and intellectual (including the misgivings of those who deny prophetic miracles)   

14- Divine reward and punishment

15- On Imamate

16- On innocence of the prophets

17- Conception and certification

18- on creation of Acts

19- Nothing is created without power of God

20- On God is visible!
