Saeb Tabrizi ( 1601-1607), was a Persian poet and one of the greatest masters of classical Arabic and Persian lyric poetry. Saeb was educated in Esfahan- Iran. The title "King of poets" was bestowed upon him by one of the kings. Saeb's reputation is based primarily on some 300000 couplets, including his epic poem "The capaign against Qandahar". His "Indian style" verses reveal a keen appreciation of philosophical and intellectual exercises. Saeb was especially well known for his Persian panegyric poetry during the reigns of Persian Emperors.
