Sahl Tostari
Abu Mohammad Sahl Tostari, born in 815 / 818 in Khuzestan –Iran. He was a Sunni Sufi and commentator. Sahl learnt Hadith and jurisprudence in the presence of his uncle who was a Sufi scholar. Sahl Tostari was the founder of the Sufi sect " Sahliyeh". He died in 885 / 895 in Basra.
