Abdullah Ibn Mubarak
Abu Abdul Rahman Abdullah Ibn Mubarak Marvzi, celebrated Iranian jurisconsult, traditionist and philosopher in the 8th century. Was born in 736 in Marv. He stidied Hadith and jurisprudence in the presence of Sufyan Thawri (celebrated theologian, traditionist and ascetic from Kufa, 715 – 778) and Malek Ibn Anas (Muslim jurist and the Imam of the law school of Malikites)
Abdullah Ibn Mubarak lived a very ascetic life. He died in 798 in Iraq, his tomb is a place of pilgrimage.
