Zarvad

Zarvad is the name of another lodging of Hossein Ibn Ali’s caravan, between Mecca and Kufa. It was the 12th lodging. Zarvad was desert. Here Imam Hossein met Zahir Ibn Qin and his companions who were coming back from hajj. Imam asked him to assist them (in battle of Karbala), first he refused to but by encouragement of his wife, he decided to go. Therefore he said farewells to his companions and went with Imam’s caravan.
