Jamal al-Din Qefti

Jamal al-Din Abul Hasan Ali Ibn Qefti, Egyptian historian and ministers of “Ayyubids” (name of a dynasty by Saladin which ruled Egypt, Muslim Syria, the major part of Mesopotomia and Yemen from 1169 – 1260). He was born in 1173 in Qeft – Egypt. He was one of the most celebrated schoalrs in the Islamic world. “Yaqut Hemawi” was supported by him. Qefti’s famous works is the book “History of philosophers”. Jamal al-Din Qefti died in 1251.
