Abul Qasem Qusheyri, celebrated traditionist, theologian, jurisconsult and mystic of Khurasan – Iran (986 – 1072). He studied Arabic and Persian literature in the presence of Abul Qasem Yamani. Then went to Neishabour and learnt Prophetic Hadiths under: Abu Hossein Khafaf, Abu Na’im Isfarayeni, Hakem Neishabouri, Abu Abdul Rahman Salami and other great Sufi traditionists. Qusheyri studeid jurisprudence in the presence of Abu Bakr Muhammad Tusi and Sufism under Abu Ali Daqaq Neishabouri. He was contemporary with Abu Saied Abul Khair (celebrated Sufi). #### The following were his students:

His method of Sufism was closed to great Sufis “Junayd” and “Ma’ruf Karkhi”.
