Hasan Basri, famous Iranian (642 – 728). The fragments of his sermons which have been preserved are among the best surviving specimens of early Arabic prose. He was not known as “Sufi”. He wrote the first book on Sufism called “Ra’ayat Hoquq Allah” (Considering rights of God). Basri was the first Muslim who wrote the method of Sufism life. The following are the methods which have been explained by contemporary writers for Sufism:
Firstly: Repentance and after that some other actions which all should be done in order, to achieve high #### positions.
Secondly: the theosophists attributed some of the chains of Sufism (for examplae the chain of Sufi Abu Saeid Abulkhair) to Hasan Basri and then from him to Imam Ali (p.b.u.h).
Thirdly: Hasan Basri was belonged to the group which some years later was named; “Sufism”.
