Abul Abbas Ahmad Ibn Tayyeb Sarakhsi (833 – 899), Shia philosopher. He was the most significant student of Kindi (Arab scholar and philosopher; Ca. 801 – 866). In some sources, there are the names of 54 books of and treatises of him, which non of them is left, such as:
- The book al- Masalek wa al-Mamalek (The methods and countries; on geography).
- A book on difference between syntax and logic
- A book on the rules of dialectic, etc.
Abul Abbas was killed by Qasem Ibn Ubayd Allah (the vizier of the Abbasid caliph, Mu’tazed).
