Imamiya juridical periods

The present book is on Arabic work composed by the prolific Iranian author Ayatollah Sobhani, since the advent of the Prophet (Muhammad) jurisprudence has been known as a science and many books related to Islamic jurisprudence have been written.

 

The author
Ayatollah Jafar   sobhani  Tabrizi ,contemporary Iranian scholar. Born in 1930,  in Tabriz into a religious family. He studied in Persian literature, the  books “  Nasaab al- sebyan” , Abwab al- Jenan “ (the  doors of paradise) , “ Mo jam History” in the presence of “ Mirza Mahmud Fazel”.  Then he continued  his studies  in “ Tableiyeh school”  in Tabriz he was trained into presence  of great scholars : Ayatollah  Ruhallah khomenini, sheikh Hasan Nahwi and Mirza Muhammad Ali Modems khiyabani  Ayatollah sobhani is the founder of “ the center of Islamic  theological studies” and also one of the great teachers in “ Qom seminary.

The book structure

The author divides the history of jurisprudence into 7 periods as follows:

1- The 1st period (260 Ah/739 AD): The period of Hadith and endeavour.

(in this period of history , the fifth Shia Imam , “ Imam Baqer” and the sixth Shia Imam , “ Imam Sadeq” (peace be upon them) and the scholar  Ibn Shazan” made great efforts)

2- The 2nd period (739 Ad- 939 AD): the period when Hadiths were divided into chapters (in this period of history of jurisprudence the great scholar. Sheikh Saduq, Ibn Qulawayh, Ibn Aqil and many other made great efforts)

3-the 3rd period (939Ad -1179 AD): the period of stagnation Hadith (in this period many great efforts undertaken by sheikh Tusi, Abul Fotuh Razi, etc)

4- The 4th period (1179Ad -1609 AD): the period of renewing life of jurisprudence (in this period great efforts made by the great scholar. Qotb al- Din Razi, Hlameh Heli, Mirza Muhammad Astarabadi, etc, )

5- The 5th period (1609 Ad-1764Ad): the period of Akhbariya (the term refers to twelve shia who rely primarily on the traditions Akhbar of the Imams as a source of religious knowledge ) in this period  the scholars such as: Feiz kashani hurr Aameli , Muhammad Baqer Mejlesi made great  efforts

6- The 6th period (1609 Ad- 1739 AD): the period of when juridical activities were augmented

7- The 7th period (1739 Ad- 1993 AD): the period of juridical innovation
