Hossein Ibn Mansur Hallaj

Hossein Ibn Mansur, an Arabic –speaking mystic theologian of Persian origin, was born in 857, Fars –Iran.

Hallaj was profoundly faithful to Sunni. He led a fervently ascetic life.
He made the pilgrimage to Mecca three times and travelled far and wide in the Islamic world.

The main aim of his preaching was to enable everybody to find God within his own heart, but he was accused of deception, false miracles, magic and sorcery by Sufis and ####Shias.

It is said that, he proclaimed: I am (God) the truth.
Having been imprisoned for nine years, he finally was executed in 922.
