Muhammad Ibn Omraan Marzbani

Muhammad the son of Omraan Marzbani, was born in 909 in Bgahdad, he was originally from Khorasan (one of the provinces of Iran). Marzbani was a historian and a Shi'ite narrator of traditions. He was the first person who collected the Poetical Works of "Yazid" (the son of Mu'wiyah, caliph of Omaiades). The Poetical Works had a few volumes but later was addede some, by others. Marzbani passed away in 993.
